Editorial Gustavo Gili, books on architecture and landscape

This is the first biannual issue of the ones that will be published every two years, in which we would gather all kind of projects, without thematic or geographic restrictions, but realized in their corresponding time, breaking the rigidity that we usually have due to be a monographic review.

In this issue, you will find projects from a reduced scale like the Ghigi garden in Rimini, where the objective is to add a small gardened area to the residual spaces of an old factory to give it a public use; to the urbanization of a new expanding zone in Terrassa.

The issue also gather the small transformation of an agricultural country estate in Liguria, to make it cosy and ordered; the covering of the origins of Valencia’s city where a subterranean museum is created, and on the surface it appears a new urban space to the citizen’s entertainment; we arrive to a coastal front of certain extension making permeable the contact between sea and earth Sydney.

In the artificial landscape section, we show the integral urbanization of Banyoles’ historical centre, where the water routes are recovered, and before were buried; the great park of the Expo of the water in Zaragoza, recently closed; and we end with the green section with an intervention in the Barre in France, that wants to put in value without bothering a natural space preserved by its ecologic values and its support to the migratory fauna.
